Local Charities
Roundup Ranch enriches the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses by providing
free, year-round camping experiences with appropriate medical care that are fun, safe and
empowering. The camp is a provisional member of the Association of Hole in the Wall
Camps, founded in 1988 by Paul Newman and is now the largest family of camps worldwide
for children with serious illnesses.
Fired Up For Kids is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that creates and produces the
Colorado Firefighter Calendar. Firefighters from all over the state of Colorado donate many
hours of their time each year to help Fired Up For Kids fund raise and raise awareness for
The Children's Hospital Burn Center. These men and women represent one of the noblest
professions, and this calendar is a tribute to them as well as the children they help every
day.
National Charities
Firefighters nationwide have fought to save the lives of those with neuromuscular diseases
since 1954. In addition to campaigns like Fill-the-Boot, thousands of fire fighters nationwide
volunteer their personal time at MDA summer camps.
The IAFF Burn Foundation, established by the IAFF, is dedicated to fire prevention and burn
awareness education, advocacy, burn research and improving the quality of life for burn
survivors. Created in 1982 as a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, non-profit, the Burn Foundation is one
of the largest sources for burn research grants and the sponsor of the annual IAFF Burn
Foundation’s International Burn Camp, held each fall in Washington, DC.
