Welcome to Eagle River Professional Firefighters Local 4245.  The members of Local 4245 are sworn, full time professional firefighters serving the citizens of Avon, Edwards, Beaver Creek, Minturn, Red Cliff, Cordillera, and Bellyache Ridge. 

We are all proud members of the International Association of Fire Fighters and of the Colorado Professional Firefighters.  Since this Local's inception in 2003, this Union has strived to provide the Fire District with one voice that represents all of it's members.  Local 4245 represents 46 fulltime firefighter/EMTs that are dedicated to providing the communities we serve with the highest level of emergency response.  Our main focus is firefighter safety, compensation, and adequate working conditions.  Currently Local 4245 has a membership of 94% of eligible members of the Fire District.

Our members are highly trained and skilled in fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, high-angle and low-angle rescue, heavy rescue, and wildland firefighting.
